LendLease
Safety and protocol training for 72 LendLease sites
MagicBand
This Project was regarding usage and servicing of MagicBands in Disney World.
Roll The Dice
This project is to teach people how to play the dice game; Cee-lo
User Training
Online course for trainers to train employees
LendLease
This project was for an Australian Real estate company that owns many retail malls, retirement communities and other commercial real estate. The goal of this training program was to provide overall induction and safety training for the company as a whole, additionally provide site-specific training and easily accessed safety documents. We created 2 corporate online courses and 72 site specific courses. This was an impactful experience as we had a tall order and a quick agressive timeline. I partnered with Torrance learning to complete the site specific courses and we used their agile method project management approach, LAMA to monitor, track, and report our progress.
Project Description
We Developed 72 site specific safety and process WBT courses for LendLease properties including company-wide induction contractor training. This training won the Brandon Hall Gold Award for Best use of video for learning and AIMIA Award for learning and education.
The story
LendLease reached out to us for their big training initiatives; 1.Create new engaging training for LendLease employees, contractors and subcontractors. 2. Centralize this training across all Australian sites. 3. Provide easy accessible safety and SOP documents. 4.Track all this information to monitor supply chains in one system.
OUR APPROACH
We documented the training goals, defined roles and responsibilies, and created a baseline to determine the time and effort involved to complete this project with the above initiatives in mind. This was an impactful experience as we had a tall order and a quick agressive timeline. I partnered with Torrance learning to complete the site specific courses and we used their Agile method project management approach, (LAMA) to monitor, track, and report our progress.
MagicBand
This project was for a new prepaid financial product called the MagicBand for use at Disney World. MagicBand is a wearable RF device to pay for items within the park, including ride admissions, gift shops goods, etc. The preview is just a snippet video of one of the courses.
Project Description
We Developed 20+ online courses, Instructor and particpant manuals, train-the-trainer sessions, and knowledge base articles for customer servicing employees who service the MagicBrand product.
The story
Create training and reference documentation for our servicing partners and project team members who service the MagicBand product
OUR APPROACH
We worked in iterations with subject matter experts, product managers, developers, and other key personnel to implement this training program. We used the ADDIE model and Kirk Patrick method of evaluation to document and improve the program. We ensured a successful delivery of the training program based upon key metrics defined during the analyze phase and needs assessment performed. This was one of my favorite L&D projects I have been a part of. I was the lead on the instructional design aspect and had a very talented Instructional Designer helping design and develop the courseware. Another exciting aspect was we got to use Disney imagery. We based the courses that address customer issues by using a familiar family scenario (National Lampoons Vacation), as the family is visiting the park they encounter issues that may occur when using the MagicBand.
User training
This project was a part of OnDemand Web-based training for client training staff to train their employees once the staff has completed Administrator training (online and Instructor-led) and implementation.
Project Description
Design and redevelop training best practices for trainers that are going to train their users in a classroom environment.
The story
Tha task was to design and redevelop training best practices for trainers that are going to train their users in a classroom environment. Update best practices and branding to match current branding guidelines.
OUR APPROACH
I designed a storyboard and script that was submitted to the Subject Matter Expert for approval. Once approved, I used Articulate storyline in combination with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Character Animator. This was the first time using Adobe Character animator in a course. Simply stated, Character Animator uses your webcam and microphone to animate in real-time.
Roll The Dice - How to play Cee-lo
This project was built to see what I could come up with based on a fairly basic dice game. This course was built in Articulate Storyline and the animations were created using 3d files and After Effects to create the motion.
Project Description
Design and develop a simple course to learn how to play Cee-lo
The story
This personal project I built as a solo effort (as most work I've created is proprietary) to see what I could come up with based on a fairly basic dice game. This course was built in Articulate Storyline and the animations were created using 3d files and After Effects to create the motion.
OUR APPROACH
Since this was a personal project using existing knowledge, I documented everything I knew about the dice game. I also audio recorded a friend and myself giving instructions to someone on how to play. This is a common scenario when playing Cee-lo in public places. I storyboarded a few different ways of delivering the key information. I decided on going with a natural structure of training Cee-lo similar to how you would if you were in person. This can be seen in how each topic is a question and is then answered.
